We will fly to Addis Ababa and then travel to a remote area in Southwest to hold medical clinics. Most of the people in these villages herd cattle, including children as they do not have an opportunity to attend school. They have many diseases due to lack of clean water and poor sanitation.
We are partnering with Global Hope Network International to provide medical care and education on wellness habits in 2 remote villages during the week we are there. At the same time we will display the love of Jesus to this unreached people group. We will also partner with Great Commission Ministry to share the gospel. Since our last medical outreach in October 2019, it has opened the door for 30,590 to hear the good news of Jesus Christ.
For this trip we desire:
Physicians, dentists, medical students, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, physician assistants, optometrists, physical/occupational therapists, and non-medical helpers.
We have an eyeglass clinic, provide "The Shoe that Grows" and a counseling/prayer area on our trips.
MPFC has a Covid plan to do our best to keep trip participants and our patients and partners safe and healthy. We will be watching country requirements closely. If we have to cancel this mission your application and funds will be moved to a future mission of your choice.
All team members must be Covid-19 vaccinated to attend this mission trip.
*Please note-we serve with established Ethiopian partners. The safety of our team is important to us which includes taking all necessary precautions for our team's safety. If needed, we will reschedule the trip.
You will have an opportunity to try some traditional Ethiopian food to experience the local culture. We will also be visiting a National Park for our tourism outing.

Requirements
Prerequisites
- You must complete and pass our background check. You will receive information after your application is approved.
- Passport with 2 blank pages and at least 6 months expiration date past return date of trip.
- Will need a visa, will discuss at 1st meeting (held virtually via zoom video conference).
- Medical professionals will need to submit original documents via mail to MPFC by 5/31/2022: current CV/resume, health examination certificate, 2 passport photos, authenticated professional license, current work experience and/or letter of good standing. Authenticated Academic document (certificate, diploma, degree), official transcript for both undergraduate and post graduate certificates) Copy of passport.
- Consider obtaining Hepatitis A, and typhoid vaccines. ***Yellow fever vaccine required (usually only available at a travel clinic). ***Covid vaccine required. Also prescription medication to prevent malaria.
- Each participant will need to provide 3 references. They will receive information regarding this after their application is approved.
- Complete Covid testing per USA, Ethiopia and airline requirements. Will discuss during our 1st team meeting via zoom.
Responsibilities
- We expect participants to be a team player, demonstrate flexibility and be an example of Christ at all times. We will discuss further at our team meetings held via zoom.
- We ask each participant to attend team meetings including devotions. Please be on time during the trip and attend all trip activities

- You must be 18 years old or older
Preparation
- Please complete application, authorize background check, references, sign waivers and release form ( 3 for this trip: Mission Partners for Christ and Global Hope Network International), upload passport. Medical professionals submit requested documents to MPFC by 5/31 for submission to Ethiopian Health Ministry.
- Start fundraising and submit required payments by due date.
- Obtain vaccines
- Start praying for this outreach.
